All groups were under the situations of controlled stress, with Group I receiving a session of music listening for 20 minutes, Group II received receiving a session of meditation video contents, and Group III receiving a session of meditation video contents with music listening. The EEG (relaxation index) and ECG (heart rate) of each participant was recorded before and after each session. The data were analyzed by SPSS 12 program using a paired t-test and ANOVA. The results were as follows: Group I with music listening showed more increases in the relaxation index and decreases in heart rate than Group II and Group III. We identified that the use of music listening had a positive effect for the stress reduction.
